John Gordon Adamson, 46, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Schooler Funeral Home Inc.,

Brentwood Chapel, with the Rev. Bill Gehm, Grace Community Church,

officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery with arrangements by

Schooler Funeral Home Inc., 4100 S. Georgia St.

Mr. Adamson was born in Clovis, N.M. He moved to Amarillo in 1960. He

was a graduate of Tascosa High School and attended Temple Junior

College from 1972-74. He later attended the University of Oklahoma

from 1974-75 and 1985-86. He worked as an oil and gas consultant

around the world from Argentina to Nigeria, and in the U.S. in South

Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.

Survivors include two sons, John Aaron Adamson of Amarillo and Allen

of Weatherford, Okla.; a daughter, Jesse of Weatherford, Okla.; his

mother, Joan Adamson of Amarillo; a brother, Jamie Adamson of

Amarillo; and a special friend, Jeanice Taylor of Woodward, Okla.
