Memorial services for Cindy Elizabeth Lacy, 54, of Tyler will be held on Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Dr. Ray Davis officiating.

Ms. Lacy passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009, at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler.

She was born Oct. 22, 1954, in Austin to June Sawyer Ainsworth and Edward Ainsworth Sr.

She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Chapel Hill.

Ms. Lacy was a graduate of Amarillo College. She was a registered nurse and worked for East Texas Medical Center Rehab for 12 years and for Legacy Hospice for a year.

Ms. Lacy was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her loving family including daughter, Melissa Anne Lacy of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Ellen Barnett of Chapel Hill; brother, Ed Ainsworth Jr. and wife Debbie of Colorado; nieces, Kelly Penny and husband Scott of Chapel Hill, Sarah Barnett of Chapel Hill, and Erin Battistelli and husband Paul of Palestine; four great nephews, Anthony and Noah Argote, and Isaac and Sawyer Penny; and one great niece, Sadie Battistelli of Palestine.

Ms. Lacy was the best great aunt in the world, the kindest and most giving person. She loved her cats and horses as well as reading and she loved to go to Galveston.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler, 75703.
