William David Ballou, 59, of Amarillo died Friday, May 10, 2013, in Beaver Lake, Ark.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Robert Taliaferro
and the Rev. John R. Watson III, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800
Paramount Blvd.

David was born Dec. 8, 1953, in San Angelo to Millford and Virginia Ballou. He was in the class of 1972 at Tascosa High School. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. He was a retired carpenter. David was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and Hobbs Plaza Group of Alcoholics Anonymous. He married Dede Schuler on Aug. 31, 2002, in Clarendon. David, a man who lived life to the fullest, one day at a time, loved his recovery, his wife and his dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Dede; three brothers, Mike and Patrick Ballou, both of Amarillo, and Jimmy Rencher of Bonham; two nephews, Morgan and Brandon Ballou, both of Dallas; and a niece, Melissa Kates of North Richland Hills.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX, 79174; or St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 4714 NW 4th Ave., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
