Wendell Britten, 53, of Amarillo died Saturday Oct. 6, 2007, in Sherman.

 

Vigil will be at 6 p.m. today at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Monsignor Joseph Tash officiating and the Rev. Ken Keller assisting. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia St.

Mr. Britten married Diana Harp in Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1973. He owned and operated Britten Custom Cabinets in Amarillo for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Britten loved fishing every chance he got.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Colleen Britten; a sister, Stella Vanzandt; and two brothers, Wes and Wallace Britten.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Britten; three daughters, Cally Britten of Richardson, Dawn Keating and husband Michael and Jennifer Roman and husband Jason, all of The Woodlands; two sons, Aaron Harp of Austin and Brandon Whitten and wife Tracy of Amarillo; two sisters, Susan Collinsworth and husband Shane and Dian Britten, all of Pampa; a brother, Wayne Britten of Amarillo; and 12 grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to the American Diabetes Association.
