Christopher R. Cole, 48, of Amarillo died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003.
Graveside services were Tuesday in Llano Cemetery with Monsignor Francis Smyer of St. Mary's Catholic Church officiating. Arrangements were by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.
Mr. Cole was born April 20, 1954, in Amarillo. He graduated from Tascosa High School and received his bachelor's degree in English at West Texas State University. He worked as a caregiver in the health care industry all his life.
An avid reader, his collection of thousands of books is being donated to a local school.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Eleanor Cole of Amarillo; and a brother, Stephen V. Cole of Amarillo.

Chris and I were in the same homeroom and often sat by each other. He was a very gifted musican and very funny to be with and talk to.. I was in Ca. attending a family funeral and did not know he had passed away. He was a great guy and is sorely missed.
