Ron Connally, 64, of Amarillo, died Saturday, September 29, 2018.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Hillside Christian Church South Campus, 6901 Bell St. with Steve Rogers and Craig Albracht officiating.  Private burial will be at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Ron was born on June 8, 1954 in Guymon, Oklahoma to Bonnie and H. G. “Bud” Connally. Ron graduated from Tascosa High in 1972 and received a bachelor’s degree from WTAMU. Ron and Tina were married May 28, 1982 in Amarillo, Texas. He was a custom homebuilder, building homes around the Panhandle since 1984.

Ron loved building houses, he was very active in the Texas Panhandle Builders Association, was President of the Texas Association of Builders in 2009, and also served as director on the National Association of Homebuilders. Ron was awarded the Texas Association of Builders ‘Builder of the Year’ in 2011.

A man of many talents and hobbies, he loved playing golf with his friends, anything to do with speed – from his hot rod to his Harley – a good cigar, and listening to live music. Ron is best described as a Christian, mentor, socialite, hard-worker, and man of integrity.

He most enjoyed spending time with his wife, kids and their spouses, especially with his recent title promotion to grandpa.

He will live on through his wife, Tina Connally, of the home; two daughters, Cari Morrison and husband Colby of Amarillo; Kalee Nofsinger and husband Jonathan of Dallas; his son, Brennan Connally and wife Leah; his mother, Bonnie Connally; his brother, Randy Connally and wife Christy; and his mother-in-law, Pattie Waters, all of Amarillo; and one grandchild, Channing Nofsinger.
