BRUD GANN

Brud Smith Gann passed away suddenly in the early morning on May 15th at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN at the age of 69. Gone too soon.

Brud was born October 7th, 1953, in Fort Worth, TX and was raised in Amarillo, TX. He attended Tascosa High School and served as class president of the graduating class of 1972. He went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Biology.

After starting a family, Brud moved to Knoxville, TN, where he was a cameraman at WATE for many years. Later in life, he worked in freelance videography, which brought him great joy.

He was so much to so many: a son, nephew, cousin, husband, father, uncle, friend, colleague, and a world-class Gramps. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Brud knew him as a compassionate and wise man who had a deep love and appreciation of the world and all living things.

He is preceded in death by his parents Leslie Edgar Gann and Billie Jean Gann.

He is survived by his wife (Deborah) Jonni; children Shane and Nicole (Andrew); and his grandsons.

At Brud's request, there will not be funeral. Memorial gatherings will be planned in both Knoxville, TN and Amarillo, TX (dates to follow).

In lieu of cards and flowers, memorial donations can be made to the ASPCA in Brud's honor.
