Edward Arnold Hirst, 56, of Amarillo died Saturday, June 11, 2011.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with the Rev. Dale Moreland, pastor, officiating. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Edward was born July 29, 1954, in Lubbock. He was raised in Amarillo and graduated from Tascosa High School in 1972.
Edward was employed by Delta Airlines for more than 20 years, which took him all over the country.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Guy Hirst; and a stepfather, Otis H. Jones.
Survivors include a daughter, Ami Acker and Husband Scott; a son, Edward T. Hirst; his mother, Ardith Jones; a sister, Joshlyn Coffman and husband Joe; and beloved granddogs, Logan and Riley.
The family suggests memorials to be made to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; and The Church at Quail Creek Library Fund, 801 Tascosa Road, Amarillo, TX 79124-1515.
