Obituary:

Denise Leopard passed away February 10, 2016 in Temple, Texas surrounded by her family. She was born June 20, 1954 in Athens, Texas to Robert and Carol Miller. Denise is survived by her mother, Carol Miller, husband, Glenn Leopard, Daughters, Dara Plunkett and husband Todd, Rana Stone and husband Jimmy, and Stephanie Turner and husband Les; brother Randy Miller and wife Beth, sister Dana Becton and husband John; Grandchildren Serina Allison, Matthew Turner, Abby Leopard, Cade Plunkett, Tess Stone, Rebecca and Sara Turner, as well as Great Grandchildren, Taylen and Serenity Allison.

Denise is preceded in death by her father, Robert Miller and her son David Leopard. Denise was full of life and lived her life for God. She was a Christian woman and enjoyed keeping up with politics. She joined the United States Army in 1973 and she was always proud of her time served. She loved her country and was very patriotic. Denise was a barber for over 30 years in Athens, were she owned the very well known, Athens Barber Shop. Later she moved her shop to her place of residence and called in Denise’s Place. The last eight years she has enjoyed working as a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service. On her spare time Denise loved to refurbish old wooden things, like tables, beds and dressers. Denise loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She will be greatly missed by her family as well as many friends.

Services for Denise Leopard will be held at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday February 20, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
