Mr. Rickard was born July 20, 1954, in Borger. He lived in Amarillo most of his life. He was an ASE Certified Master Technician for many years. He retired in October 2011.

John was a loving husband and father. He was looking forward to the birth of his first grandchild in August. He married the love of his life, Debbie Mitchusson, on May 22, 1992. He was a member of Cowboy Church and Arena of Life.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Bobbi Rickard; his mother-in-law, Reba Mitchusson of Amarillo; a brother, David Rickard of Alamogordo, N.M.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and extended family.
