George H. Rogowski, 52, of Amarillo died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006. Photos

Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church with Monsignor Joseph Tash celebrating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

 

Mr. Rogowski was born May 11, 1954, in Amarillo to Dick and Jo Rogowski. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1972 and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, studying Petroleum Engineering. On returning to Amarillo he entered the family business, which his father started in 1951. Mr. Rogowski married Charlotte DeMoss in 1976. He was president and partner of Plastic Fabicators.

He was past president of Children's Rehabilitation Center, and a member of Amarillo Executive Club, Solid Surface Fabricators Association, CSI of Amarillo, Decorative Laminate Products Association, KCMA, Tascosa Country Club and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.

George was a very loving and caring husband, father, brother and son and touched many lives. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Rogowski; two daughters, Angie Rackstraw and husband Brett of St. Paul, Minn., and Tisha Rogowski of Amarillo; his parents, Richard "Dick" and Jo Rogowski of Amarillo; two sisters, Ann Paschall and husband Joe of Waenatchee, Wash., and Judy Millar of Austin; a brother, Richard "Rick" Rogowski and wife Charlotte of Amarillo; his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Datha DeMoss of Howardwick; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to Specialized Therapy Services of Amarillo, 2400 Lakeview Drive, Suite 102, Amarillo, TX 79109.
