COLLEGE STATION - Charles William Smith, 53, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2008.

Memorial services were Saturday in Callaway-Jones Chapel in Bryan.

Mr. Smith had been a resident of College Station for 20 years, moving from Amarillo. He was a courier for Fed-Ex.

Survivors include his wife, Marlys Smith; a son, Charlie A. Smith of Brenham; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Ryan VanderLaan of College Station; a stepson, Shiloh Nicholson of Houston; a stepdaughter, Cassidy Nicholson of Bryan; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Terry Smith of Nevada; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sue and David Edwards of Pflugerville and Judy and Cody Moulton of Amarillo; and two grandchildren, Alexis Nicholson and Ty VanderLaan.

The family suggests memorials be to the Liver Foundation of Central Texas, PO Box 684672, Austin, TX 78768-4672.
