died Monday, Oct. 26, 1998, in Las Vegas, NV.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in

Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors

Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and

Pierce Street, with Dr. Murray Gossett

of First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

     Dr. Smith graduated from Tascosa

High School in 1972 and attended Amarillo

College and Texas Tech University.  In

1986 he received his Doctor of Medicine

Degree from the University of Texas

Health Sciences Center in San Antonio.

He completed his residency in anesthesia

At Texas Tech University Health Sciences

Center at El Paso in 1994.

     Dr. Smith practiced with Anesthesia

Consultants, Inc. in Las Vegas.  He was a

Diplomat of the American Academy of

Pain Management, a member of the American

Medical Association and the American Society

of Anesthesiologists. 

     He also held a private pilot’s certificate.

     Survivors include his mother, Barbara Marie

Smith of Amarillo, a brother, Kenny Smith of

Amarillo, and his fiancée, Cynthia St. Clair

of Amarillo.

     The family will be at 1921 Alice in Amarillo. 

They request memorials be to the Boy Scouts of

America or a favorite charity.
