John Michael Edwards
John Michael Edwards, age 56, died peacefully at his home in Danbury on February 28, 2010. Son of Jack and Nell Rose Edwards. John was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. Graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Finance and an MBA, both with highest honors. An accomplished pianist since his youth, John later attended the Juilliard School where he continued his piano studies but illness prevented him from making his imminent and long-sought solo performance at Carnegie Hall. Skilled in diverse areas and having many interests, John was also a quantitative trader, a collector of fine art and antiquities and a Member of the GOP President's Club. Until his death, John was Analytics Manager at ATMI in Danbury. He is survived by his brother Tom and his sister-in-law Claire of Marble Falls, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held at The Lounsbury House in Ridgefield from 7 to 8 p.m. on March 8, 2010. John asked that donations be made to Smile Train.
