Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Eubank Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Daniell officiating. Burial will be in Haven of Memories in Canton. Arrangements are by Eubank Funeral Home of Canton.
Mr. Ellison was born April 6, 1954, in Amarillo to Ray Medley and Valta Marie Lundy Ellison. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Mr. Ellison grew up and graduated high school in Amarillo. He received a degree in automotive engineering from Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch. He was the valedictorian of his class and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Ellison married Iris Elaine Pitts on Jan. 16, 1982, in Amarillo, and they have lived in Edgewood since 1993. He was known for his wonderful stories, impeccable memory and his love for his family.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Iris Elaine Ellison of Edgewood; a daughter, Amanda Ellison of Forney; two sons, Tom Ellison of Corinth and Clinton Ellison of Edgewood; two grandchildren, Emma and Alexander; a sister, Carol Ann Tolbert of Amarillo; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
