Brent was born August 25, 1954 to T R and Betty Gollihugh in Clovis, New Mexico. He graduated from Tascosa High School in Amarillo in 1972 and Amarillo Community College in 1974. Brent earned his B.S. degree in architecture from Texas Tech University in 1978. He was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene and the Lubbock Chapter of the Texas Society of Architects.
Brent married Julie Addison Sanders on May 4, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father, T R Gollihugh.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Gollihugh; mother, Betty Gollihugh; children, Michael Brian Gollihugh and wife, Charla, Briana Renee’ Carson and Lora Brenee` Null and husband, Brad; granddaughters, Kirstin Henry and Zamaya Rangel; great-grandson, Clayton Henry; and brothers, Jerry Gollihugh and wife, Debbie, and Jim Gollihugh and wife, Teresa.
