Cindy and I go way back. I remember square dancing with her in grade school. I remember walking into Mrs. Pumphrey's class after lunch in the third grade and Cindy was sitting there with a tissue, crying her eyes out. I asked her what was the matter and she said, "The President's been killed."

After highschool she and her husband at the time, Bob Joiner, and I all were Art Majors down at Texas Tech. We had several classes together.

I ran into her off on in Dallas after college. We were both working for ad agencies in Dallas at the time.

Cindy was always a good friend of mine. I will miss her.

Skip, I remember Cindy from Avondale also.  I remember spending the night at her house in elementary school and listening to her new Supremes album. She was sweet, she was fun and just delightful.  Even in elementary school I thought she was so beautiful (that red hair!) and uniquely glamourous. I really looked up to her.  I've wondered over the years what happened to her.  Thank you, Skip for filling in some of the blanks.  RIP Cindy.

Cindy and I were in band and orchestra together at THS. She was an excellent flute player and one of the sweetest gals I've ever known. I am am saddened at the news of her passing. I am sending white light to her family and close friends.  (Douglas Stewart)

I also remember her dad used to cut my hair at the Avondale Barber Shop for years. I went to birthday parties at her house.
