Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel, 500 N. Maddox Ave., in Dumas, Texas.   Graveside service will follow at Dumas Cemetery.   Arrangements entrusted to Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Dumas. Masks are encouraged but not required. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 pm to 7 pm at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd., in Amarillo.She loved bowling, “honkin tonkin,” country music, and playing “Name That Tune.”  But her true love was her kitty’s…she had many over the years.  Shirley was born on February 8th, 1954, to Harold Thomas and Mildred Lucille Powell Green in Amarillo, the youngest of six children.  She graduated high school in Tascosa and worked at Amarillo Linen Service and IBP before making a career for herself at Greyhound Bus Lines, where she retired as a bus driver after 30 years.  She had a beautiful daughter, Michelle, in 1975.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph, brother Kenny and two sisters, Judy, and Claire.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Smith and husband Brent of Gravette, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Milleson Quarles and husband Jacob of Anacortes, Washington, Morgan and Meredith Comiskey of Grapevine, Texas; one grandson, Jordan Brody Smith of Gravette; and one great-granddaughter, Melody Quarles of Anacortes;  two brothers, Wayne Fowler and wife Toni of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Melvin Fowler and wife Pam of Amarillo; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
