Jim George

James “Jim” Edward George, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022.

Jim was born June 24, 1954 in Landstuhl, Germany, son of Melvin and Helen (Speed) George.

On August 10, 1984, in Amarillo, Texas, Jim was united in marriage to B. Jaylene George. Together they shared over 38 loving years as husband and wife.

Jim loved sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs. He mainly loved his family and was so proud of his wonderful children and grandchildren. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Jaylene of the home; his son Jayson George and his wife Macie of Princeton, Texas; his daughter Jene’ Carey and her husband Michael Carey of Amarillo, Texas; Jared George and his wife Ashton of Fort Worth, Texas; 2 grandchildren Chasity and Eli Carey of Amarillo, Texas; brother-in-law Dale Richerson; many other wonderful relatives; and many friends. He will be missed by all.
